The walls of my new pottery studio are glowing with the beautiful work of Romie. The clay she installed brings life and texture to the room and I find myself grounded and calm within its earthen feel. When I ran into cracking issues installing the clay myself, she was quick to diagnose the problem, fix the botched areas and finish the room much better than I could have. Romie is a master of American Clay; her twenty plus years of experience are obvious in what she delivered. She was knowledgeable, easy to communicate with and spot on with cost estimate and timeframe, also willing to drive an hour to my house for the project. To top it off, she is one of warmest, most kind and honest person I’ve ever worked with, a true gem. The care Romie put into my studio is palpable; the room is soft and inviting and has been blessed with her good energy and artistry.

But Romie has the unique ability to combine artistry with hard work, business sense and integrity. We found her work ethic inspiring as she tackled a very messy re-do job another applicator had botched. She fixed the mess we inherited on time and within budget. The results are beautiful. After having insulation blown into our walls of our mid-century home, we found ourselves left with mismatched textures from the patching required. I contacted Romie of Colorado Walls to see if American Clay might be a way to cover the flaws and create a cohesive look. She was very helpful and said it could be a great solution. She came over with color samples and helped me pick a gray that would blend with other colors in my home. She also helped me pick the style of application and offered options for cool additives - we went with mica and love the slight glimmer it adds. When it came time to do the work, Romie was efficient and flexible. We have two dogs and she was happy to work with them in the home. She is very professional and highly personable. She also pays great attention to detail and is committed to customer satisfaction. I wish all contractors and service providers were just like her!

The American Clay product is better than paint. There are no off gases like paint making us leave the house for 3 days, no weird streaking and our home feels great. We decided to have it placed in our newly remodeled basement and two bathrooms. It looks and feels natural, warm and inviting. People that come into our home really like it and are blown away we have clay walls in a home built over 70 years ago and it's not an adobe. Music and movies sound better in our home although I can't say why with words, my ears know it's true and it has become my favorite place to play guitar. Romie is an incredible, stand-out professional in a business where there are many that promise and few that deliver. She never over-promised nor under delivered. She was and is spot on with all details of her project scope and size. For a human of smaller stature doing this type of physical work, Romie was on a tighter timetable, had zero assistance unlike the GC, and did more work at twice the pace each week than compared to our GC. She was so good on our job that she had to wait on our GC to finish their projects at two different times. I would place her services in the top 1% of contractors that I worked with in the past 20 years.

Romie Behr is a healer of spaces, an alchemist of the interior and a kind and gentle person who brings good energy to the spaces she clays. We had some remodeling work done on our condo in Colorado Springs. Romie Behr from Colorado Walls came down to Colorado Springs from Fort Collins to do repair work, and to do large areas of our condo in American Clay with added mica. The walls are absolutely beautiful. They have the natural warmth and beauty of clay alongside spectacular glow and glitter with the change in reflection of the lighting during the day. Romie was a pleasure to work with, very skilled in her ability to work with clay, and the project went smoothly and efficiently.
